After qualifying from the University of Sheffield in 2003, Sheetal began working full-time in Leicestershire. She was initially a vocational trainee and then, in 2004, became an associate in general practice.In 2015, she acquired this practice.
Sheetal enjoys all aspects of dentistry, especially cosmetic dentistry. She loves working with children and is very experienced in helping to put nervous patients at ease.
To enhance her passion for clinical excellence, she continues with her postgraduate studies. She has successfully completed a Master’s in Advanced General Dental Practice from the University of Birmingham and a one-year certificate course in Cosmetic Dentistry and Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry by the highly respected Dr Christopher Orr.
When not busy treating her patients, Sheetal loves spending time with her family, especialvily her little boy. She also likes cooking, reading and travelling.

Ashwin trained at the University of Birmingham and qualified in 2012. Since then he has gained a broad range of experience working in several busy NHS and private general dental practices treating patients with a range of dental needs.
He works well with children and anxious patients and takes pride in providing minimally invasive dentistry.
He has an interest in direct aesthetic restorative dentistry (tooth coloured materials) and is highly motivated to provide quality dental care to patients using the finest materials and equipment.
He is committed to professional development and has attended various dental courses providing opportunity to learn and develop new skills that adopt the latest technology and techniques. There is no doubt that his clinical ability and standards are very high with the aim of creating and maintaining a healthy functioning dentition for all his patients.
Ashwin has also been involved in lecturing undergraduate dental students at the University of Birmingham as well as postgraduate master’s students at the University of Manchester.
In his spare time, he enjoys photography, travelling and participating in a range of sports. He is an avid skier and has participated in the occasional skydive! In the past, he trained in martial arts and achieved the grade of second Dan black belt in karate.

Basim gained a BDS degree in 1977 from Baghdad University and the Statutory Exam in Leeds in 1983. He then worked in Derby as a General Dental Practitioner and for the prison service as a part-time dentist.
He previously founded and owned this practice, and is currently working as an Associate Dental Practitioner. His honorary posts have included being President of BDA East Midlands Branch 2007/08 and he is presently a member of BDA Branch Council East Midlands Branch.
Basim’s hobbies include swimming, walking, travelling, gardening, meeting new people and cooking.

Stevie has been working in dentistry for over 12 years. She has a vast amount of experience in all aspects of dentistry, qualifying as a dental nurse before progressing to become treatment co-ordinator and Practice Manager.
Stevie joined the Practice in April 2018 and has already become an integral part of the Practice.
She oversees the smooth running of the Practice, implements much of her management skills and experience at Wigston Dental Care, guiding the team towards the overall vision of Oral and Dental Health Excellence for you within a Practice that meets all regulatory standards and expectations.
She is approachable, friendly and highly knowledgeable in all aspects of dentistry, which is why she is our “go to” person.
Outside of the practice, Stevie enjoys going to the gym, socialising and traveling.

Kiran completed her BSc (Hons) Degree in Dental Hygiene & Dental Therapy in 2013 at the University of Portsmouth.
At Wigston Dental Care, she carries out a range of hygiene, periodontal and restorative treatments and strives to enhance each patient’s experience with her caring and holistic approach to dentistry.
Kiran has a special interest in oral health promotion and its overall effect on general well-being. She is keen to restore dentally anxious patients’ confidence and strongly believes that building a good rapport with patients is key to providing the highest standard of care.
Outside of work, Kiran enjoys travelling and spending time with family and friends.

Kim has been working as a Dental Nurse since December 2008 and joined the practice in March 2016. She qualified with the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN) in 2011.
She has worked in both Private and NHS practice and also spent three years working in Orthodontics.
Outside the practice, Kim enjoys spending time with her son and reading.

Kim joined our practice as a trainee nurse in the summer of 2016 and has developed to become an integral member of the team.
She recently qualified as a dental nurse. Her previous experience includes working in both Private and NHS practices with some time spent in Orthodontics and Minor Oral Surgery.
Before training to become a dental nurse, Kim gained a National Diploma in Business and Law. Kim is patient, hardworking and always has a smile on her face.
When not working Kim spends her time reading, socialising and travelling, and would love to visit the Seven Wonders of the World.
