After qualifying from the University of Sheffield in 2003, Sheetal began working full-time in Leicestershire. She was initially a vocational trainee and then, in 2004, became an associate in general practice. In 2015, she became the owner of Wigston Dental Care.
Sheetal enjoys all aspects of dentistry, especially cosmetic dentistry. She loves working with children and is very experienced in helping to put nervous patients at ease.
To enhance her passion for clinical excellence, Sheetal is dedicated to continuing her postgraduate studies. She has successfully completed a Master’s degree in Advanced General Dental Practice from the University of Birmingham and a one-year certificate course in Cosmetic Dentistry and Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry with the highly respected Dr Christopher Orr.
When not busy treating her patients, Sheetal loves spending time with her family, especially her young son and daughter. She also likes cooking, reading, and travelling.
Savan graduated as a dental surgeon from Guys, Kings & St Thomas’ London in 2004.
From those early years, he adopted a multidisciplinary approach to dentistry and began his journey by training within oral maxillofacial and community dental services around Sheffield and Leeds.
Savan has spent most of his time in private practice, with the majority of his work being focused on dental implants, and advanced restorative care, with a special interest in treatment for anxious and nervous patients. He has been placing and restoring dental implants for over 15 years and has been involved in the postgraduate and teaching side of dentistry.
Savan has been awarded a Masters in Implant Dentistry (MSc Dental Implants) and has an academic and practical interest in rehabilitation with dental implants. Currently, Savan works as a visiting implant dentist at multiple dental clinics and we are pleased to have him on board at Wigston Dental Care.
Dr Philip gained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the Rajiv Ghandi University in Bangalore, India. The most rewarding part of his job is building relationships with his patients and seeing their confidence grow.
Dr Philip sees a variety of dental cases and challenges that keep each day interesting. He will always go the extra mile with his patients to preserve the natural tooth with techniques, such as crowns and composite fillings, even when they seem unsalvageable. He provides painless extractions when necessary, ensuring patients feel comfortable and at ease during the procedure and in his care.
Outside of work Dr Philip enjoys spending time with his family, photography, videography, watching science documentaries, travelling and cricket.
Gurpreet qualified from the University of Leeds in 2004 and has worked within Leicestershire since. Highly ethical, motivated, and experienced he is able to deliver high end dentistry with a gentle and empathetic approach.
Gurpreet has maintained contemporary skills and enhanced the delivery of his dentistry with postgraduate training – these include a one year certificate course in Aesthetic Restorative dentistry with the highly respected Dr Christopher Orr, and advanced endodontic (root canal) training through the University of Chester (2 years completed). Gurpreet is experienced in providing cosmetic treatments such as whitening, composite restorations, short term orthodontics in Clear Correct and Invisalign Go, and advanced appliances in the treatment of bruxism and parafunction (grinding teeth). He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry with the focus being the well being and dental health of patients.
In his spare time Gurpreet loves all things adrenaline! He is an AMA registered martial arts and tai chi instructor, holding a 2nd degree black belt in Kung Fu, enjoys hiking, running and cardio on strike bags. Gurpreet enjoys travelling and scuba diving when ever possible.
Stevie has been working in dentistry for many years.’ She has a vast amount of experience in all aspects of dentistry, qualifying as a dental nurse before progressing to become treatment co-ordinator and practice manager at Wigston Dental Care.
Stevie joined the practice in April 2018 and has become an integral part of the team. As Practice Manager and a qualified dental nurse, her work in the practice is very varied, which is something she really enjoys. Stevie ensures our practice is run efficiently, making sure every patient is given the highest quality dental care alongside a great experience on every visit.
Stevie has verified experience in dental conscious sedation, and assists with implant, minor oral surgery and sedation treatments in the practice. She is approachable, friendly and highly knowledgeable in all aspects of dentistry, which is why she is our ‘go to’ person.
Outside of work, Stevie loves to travel, shop, and spend time with her family and friends.
Kiran completed her BSc (Hons) Degree in Dental Hygiene & Dental Therapy at the University of Portsmouth in 2013. She became a valued member of the Wigston Dental Care team in 2016.
Kiran carries out a range of hygiene, periodontal and restorative treatments and strives to enhance each patient’s experience with her caring and holistic approach to dentistry.
Kiran has a special interest in oral health promotion and its overall effect on general well-being. She is keen to restore the confidence of more dentally anxious patients, and strongly believes that building a good rapport with her patients is key to providing the highest standard of care.
Kiran is also a Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) expert, and loves to promote a positive and comfortable dental experience through the use of GBT.
Outside of work, Kiran enjoys good food, wine, travel and yoga. She is also a Leicester City football fan!
Jenisha studied at the University of Birmingham and graduated with a BSc in Dental Hygiene and Therapy in 2017. She has been a member of the Wigston Dental Care team since September 2022.
As a dental hygienist and therapist, Jenisha loves having the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in her patients’ lives through her compassionate care. She finds it incredibly fulfilling to help her patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health, while ensuring they remain comfortable and at ease throughout the process.
Building strong patient relationships based on trust, empathy and respect is at the core of Jenisha’s practice and ethos. She feels deeply rewarded when she sees the positive impact her work has on her patients’ overall health, confidence and quality of life.
Away from work, Jenisha has a passion for travel and loves to seek out new experiences and cultures whenever she can. She also enjoys unwinding with a good book, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and simply spending time with her family, friends and lovable dog.
Zulikha graduated with a BSc in Dental Hygiene and Therapy from the University of Birmingham in 2023. She joined Wigston Dental Care in 2019, initially as a qualified dental nurse, before beginning her undergraduate course in hygiene and therapy. Zulikha loved working at the practice, and was so grateful to receive an enormous amount of help and support from the team as she pursued her dream of becoming a dental therapist. In October 2023, Zulikha was delighted to begin working at Wigston Dental Care again, having been offered the position of Dental Hygienist and Therapist.
Zulikha loves what she does, and enjoys every aspect of her job, although the therapy side is her favourite part of her role. She takes pride in helping her patients understand the importance of their oral health, and finds it so rewarding when she has helped them achieve a confident and healthy smile. Zulikha also loves being able to talk to her patients about their interests and giving them a positive experience in her care.
Outside of work, Zulikha is very creative and enjoys art and painting. She even used to exhibit her work at galleries! She is enthusiastic about sport, and currently does weight/strength training four times a week and runs a half marathon twice a week. On her rest day each week, Zulikha likes to meditate and practice yoga.
Zulikha is an outgoing and lively person, and loves to socialise with her family and friends. However, she is just as happy relaxing at home, watching movies and documentaries and reading. She also loves food and enjoys baking and cooking meals from different cultures.
Kim joined our practice as a trainee nurse in the summer of 2016 and has gone on to become an integral member of the team.
She recently qualified as a dental nurse. Her previous experience includes working in both private and NHS practices, with some time spent in Orthodontics and Minor Oral Surgery.
Before training to become a dental nurse, Kim gained a National Diploma in Business and Law. Kim is patient, hardworking and always has a smile on her face.
Outside of work, Kim spends her time reading, socialising and travelling, and would love to visit the Seven Wonders of the World.
Alison qualified as a dental nurse with the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN) in 2000, and joined the team at Wigston Dental Care in August 2021.
As our Lead Dental Nurse, Alison is an integral part of our practice. She really enjoys looking after the patients, getting to know them and being a part of their treatment process. Alison is passionate about providing the best possible care for every patient, tailored to their needs.
Outside of work, Alison enjoys spending time with her family and walking her dog. She also loves watching football, going to the theatre and travelling.
Katie joined the team at Wigston Dental Care in January 2023, and is working towards her dental nursing qualification. She aims to qualify in 2024, and is interested in doing further qualifications in oral health education and sedation nursing in the future.
Katie really enjoys meeting new patients, is passionate about delivering high-quality care and takes pride in her kind and caring approach. She loves watching a patient’s confidence grow throughout their treatment, and seeing the smile on their face when they have reached their ideal smile. Katie also takes pleasure in helping every patient have a positive experience at Wigston Dental Care. Her role is varied, and she particularly enjoys working with the hygienist as it is always a busy day!
Outside of work, Katie likes to keep active by going to the gym or swimming. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family and reading poetry. Katie particularly loves to visit theme parks and is always up for a challenge and going out of her comfort zone!
Idil joined the team at Wigston Dental Care in February 2024. Idil works as a dental receptionist and trainee dental nurse and is working towards completing a dental nursing course starting in November 2024.
Idil loves that the job is never predictable, and no day is the same. With reception duties Idil enjoys greeting patients and being their first point of contact. With nursing, the transformation in someone’s self confidence in just a few visits really makes it worthwhile.
Idil enjoys seeing a patient’s journey with their treatment plan from beginning to end as their confidence and happiness grows, and this makes the role really satisfying.
Outside of work Idil loves finding good places to eat with friends and family, shopping and relaxing at home.
